Your account

Everything you do to an account after signing up and other than sending. Every path here is self-serve: none of them needs a support conversation, and each one says what it does before it does it.

Forgot your password

Reset it from the sign-in page. The page says the same thing whether or not the address has an account; if it does, a link arrives that works once and expires in an hour. Setting a new password signs you out everywhere else, and any tab that was still open is told why on its next request.

Change your sign-in address

Under Settings > Account, with your current password. The new address gets a confirmation link; your current address gets a notice with a link that stops the change and signs the account out everywhere. Nothing moves until the new address confirms, so the account is never reachable by neither. If someone registers the new address in the meantime, you are told, and nothing changes.

Lost the password and the mailbox

If you own the workspace and generated recovery codes (Settings > Workspace), recover it with the workspace id, one code, and a new address you can read. The link that arrives sets a password and moves the owner account to the new address. Codes are shown once and each works once; generate them before you need them. A workspace with no codes has no path back, and the settings card says so.

Transfer ownership

Settings > Team: offer the workspace to a current member. Nothing changes until they accept, from the emailed link or their own team page. Accepting moves billing authority: invoices, the payment method and the subscription become theirs, and they become the one person who can delete the workspace or hand it on. You become an admin. Offers last seven days and can be withdrawn.

Export your data

Settings > Billing > Export your data: one zip with every envelope (original, signed and certificate PDFs, and the tamper-evident audit trail as JSON), every template, and the workspace record. It is useful without SignEnvoy: the seal on a signed PDF verifies in any PDF reader that shows signatures, and the README explains how to re-check the audit chain with sha256 alone.

Delete a workspace

At the bottom of Billing, owner only, with the export offered first and a typed confirmation. Deletion is two steps. The moment you confirm, the subscription is canceled, every API key stops working, outstanding envelopes are voided and their signing links stop working, and everyone loses access. Then, within minutes, the data is erased: every envelope this workspace sent (sealed ones included) with its audit trail and PDFs, every template, keys, webhooks, folders, members and their sign-ins, and the Stripe customer. Documents your members signed as recipients of other workspaces stay with the people who sent them; they are the senders' records, exactly as yours are yours. You see the deletion's progress on the next page and the owner gets one email when it has finished.

Delete your own sign-in

A member can, under Settings > Account, by typing their address. Envelopes they sent stay with the workspace. An owner cannot delete their sign-in on its own: transfer the workspace first, or delete it.
