Error reference

Your subscription ends this month

A workspace that has cancelled can keep sending until its minimum is used up. This one has used it.

Problem type /problems/subscription-ending-limit
HTTP status 402
Emitted by REST API (/v1)
Title values
Your subscription ends this month
Trigger
REST API (/v1): D106(b)/D110(a): a workspace whose subscription is cancelling has sent what its last month's minimum covers (live envelopes in flight plus those completed this month); a new live send is refused until the month ends or the cancellation is withdrawn. Test sends are unaffected

What happened

This workspace’s subscription is cancelled and ends at the end of the calendar month. Until then it can send the live envelopes its monthly minimum covers, counting envelopes already out for signature and those completed this month. It has reached that number, so this live send was refused with HTTP 402. Nothing was sent, and nothing was charged.

What it means

Nothing already sent is affected. Envelopes out for signature can still be signed, and signed documents can be downloaded until 90 days after the subscription ends. Test keys keep working as before.

The limit exists so that cancelling never produces a surprise invoice: what you send after cancelling is what the minimum you already paid covers.

What to do next

If you want to keep sending live, withdraw the cancellation from Billing in the dashboard. The limit lifts immediately. Otherwise, the workspace returns to the free sandbox at the end of the month.

Problem body

Every error the API returns is an RFC 9457 problem document with media type application/problem+json. The type member is the stable identifier to switch on; docs_url is this page.
