Error reference

We can't email you a code

The recipient's address no longer receives our email, so no one-time code was sent.

Problem type /problems/otp-undeliverable
HTTP status 409
Emitted by Signing page
Title values
We can't email you a code
Trigger
Signing page: DC-2 (M11): the recipient's address is on the suppression list (a complaint, a permanent bounce, or a provider refusal), so no code is issued; the page names the sender as the way forward and offers no new link (it would go to the same address)

What happened

The document asks this recipient to confirm a one-time code sent by email, and email to their address has stopped: an earlier message to it bounced permanently or was reported as spam. No code was issued. The response is HTTP 409.

What it means

Nothing about the document changed and no attempt was used. A new signing link would not help, because the code would go to the same address.

What to do next

Recipients: contact the sender. Senders: the document page shows that email to this recipient has stopped. Check the address and change the recipient, or ask SignEnvoy support to lift the block if the recipient wants our email again.

Problem body

Every error the API returns is an RFC 9457 problem document with media type application/problem+json. The type member is the stable identifier to switch on; docs_url is this page.
