What happened

For the first 7 days after a workspace first goes live, it can send 50 live documents a day, counted from 00:00 UTC. This send, or this bulk batch, would have gone past today’s count, so it was refused with HTTP 429. Nothing was sent and nothing was counted. The response carries limit, used, resets_at and ends_at, and a Retry-After header.

What it means

The document is still a draft, and the batch is still ready to start. Envelopes already sent are not affected and can be signed as normal. Test keys are not limited.

New accounts that mail many strangers in their first days are how a sending domain loses its reputation, and every workspace shares ours. The limit protects your mail as much as anyone’s.

What to do next

Send again after resets_at, or split a bulk batch to fit what is left today. The limit ends on its own at ends_at. If you need to send more sooner, contact SignEnvoy support: staff can raise or lift the limit for a verified workspace.
